Eating Pizza Fight Prostate Cancer
Scientists have discovered that oregano, spices commonly used in pizza and other Italian dishes, has the potential to be the most potent weapon against prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer that affects many men. Researchers from Long Island University studying carvacrol, a chemical found in oregano.
When tested in the laboratory on prostate cancer cells, it kills quickly carvacrol cancer cells.
"We know that oregano has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. This is a super spice that might be a very promising therapy for patients with prostate cancer," said Dr. Supriya Bavadekar, a professor at Long Island University, USA, quoted by Mirror.
